Meet the "Davis Operetta"

My name is Jenny, and I've been married to my husband Scott for 17 years. We started our family in August of 1999 with Abby. Abby is 10 and is entering the tween stage. She is my free- spirited child who loves to be the boss, but on the other hand, she is very fun loving and nurturing. 2 1/2 years later came Maggie. She is now 7, and she's my quiet and sensitive child. She's a momma's girl through and through. Then, there’s Molly Kate, who came along in 2005 and rocked our world. She revealed her strong-willed personality even before she exited the womb. She's our drama queen and has a mind of her own, and I am laughing as a write this, God has blessed her abundantly with the gift of leadership. Molly has the biggest heart of all and she never stops going. Scott and I thought our family was complete but God surprised and blessed us with Sophie, who arrived 16 months after Molly Kate. I sometimes still ask God what he was thinking :) Sophie is my sassy, bubbly, curly-headed girl. Sophie's motto at 2 is "my way or the highway." With Molly Kate and Sophie being only 16 months apart, together they put the "M" on mischievous. There is nothing they can't get into... any type of lotion, soap, or lip stick is what they prefer most, and Sophie prefers skin over paper when coloring with markers :) Two years ago, we decided as a family that I would home school Abby and Maggie. They still struggle with the concept of "home school" and would prefer to leave the school part out :) Even though each day I find it challenging to teach the big girls and keep up with Thing 1 and Thing 2 (the little girls), I love being home with them and I know it is what God has called me to do.

To sum this up, God blessed us with 4 different personalities that interact (react) together 24/7. There is never a dull moment in the Davis house. There is much laughter, tears, joy, fighting and a whole lot of love! As I end this Molly Kate has found Abby's Teen Spirit and is using it on her feet , cheeks, legs, arms, and pits. I asked her to please not put it in her hair since we're still trying to get the Carmex out from last night! I look forward to sharing more with you.

Jenny
